She was so grateful to be inside and gobbled her food up daily to reach a healthy weight. Taki was in such poor shape when he was found that we didn’t know if he was going to pull through. Taki clearly was once someone’s pet but lived on the streets fending for himself for years before he was rescued. Our hearts were broken when the vet told us his teeth were so worn because he was eating pebbles which they found in his stomach. Taki was adopted by his incredible foster parents, Eric and Steph, who had graciously adopted another senior cat from us a year prior. This fearless guy was fed outdoors over many months as a feral cat until he was found one day with a severe bleeding neck wound. When he was caught, we had never had a cat with such a strong street stench. P U Leone! He was one of our special case cats that was FIV+ and was recovering from several wounds and was very malnourished. Jacket was incredibly lucky to have found the best new family which included another FIV+ adopted cat and the adoring twin brother adopters.
